Overview
​
In June 2022, I founded Connect2Health, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to reducing health disparities by addressing social determinants such as income, language, and geography. In 2024, I launched a school chapter, rallying like-minded peers to support our mission: connecting uninsured, unhoused, and underserved individuals with preventive care, essential resources, and trusted local support. We organize fundraisers, community donation drives, and wellness kit packing events to provide food, blankets, harm reduction kits, and health education. Additionally, we maintain a regularly updated health information hub with clear, easy-to-understand resources and quick links. Our website encourages users to submit questions in both English and Spanish to help navigate free vaccinations, food access, and healthcare services.

Some notable mentions and features include being highlighted in Shoutout Arizona Magazine for leadership in health equity advocacy, as well as features in Bold Magazine. I was humbled to receive the Daily Point of Light Award for impactful volunteer work and the Stella Karie Public Health Equity Innovation Award as the youngest finalist. Connect2Health has also been featured in several partner organizations’ monthly newsletters and recognized as a local community hero in our community newsletter.​
Personal Importance of Work
Founding and leading Connect2Health has been a deeply humbling and eye-opening experience. It has taught me the real, tangible challenges that underserved communities face every day when trying to access basic healthcare. Working alongside passionate peers to provide essential resources and trusted health information has strengthened my commitment to health equity.This work has shown me the power of community-driven solutions and reinforced my desire to pursue a career where I can continue advocating for and creating meaningful change in healthcare access for all.
